1.Scope
This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies a temporary and portablesubmersible pump,hereinafter referred to as the “pump”,used for civil-engineering works,architectural works and other construction works,whichis of single suction,single stage,centrifugal type and has nominal diameter (“)of pump of 32 to 250 mm and is coupled directly with a submersible 3-phasesinduction motor with 2 poles,4 poles or 6 poles,or a submersible single phaseinduction motor with 2 poles or 4 poles and rated frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz,
Note (-) The nominal diameter of pump shail be indicated by a nominal diameter of hose coupling to be fixed to the pump.
Remark; . The units and numerical values glven in { } in this standard are in accordance with the International System of Units (SI),and are appended for reference.
2.Classification Types
2.1 Classification The pumps shall be classifled as shown in Table 1by nominal diameter of pump,rated output of motor, discharge type andrated frequency of electric motor.
2.2TypeThe type of pump shall be indicated,as shown in the following example, by the combination of symbols of classification.
3.Name of Each_Part of Pump
The name of each part of pump shall be as shown in Attached Figs. 1 to 3.
4.Range of Lifted IAiquid by Using Pump
The lifted liquid shall be mudy water generated from job sites of civil-engineering works,archtectural works and other construction works.The
mudy water shall be not higher than 40C in water temperature,6.5 to 8.0 in pH,not more than 2 % in volumetric ratio of mixed earth and sand and not more than5 cP ( 5 mPa · s } in viscosity and the size of particles shall be in such range thatparticles can pass through the network of strainer.
5.Performance
5.1 Pressure ResistanceThe pressure resistance of pump shall be testedin accordance with 9.2 and the pressure resistant part of the body of pumpshall be free from leakage.
5.2 LeakageThe leakage of pump shall be tested in accordance with 9.1and the clearance of each part of pump shall be free from leakage.
5.3 Operating Performance The operating performance of pump shall betested in accordance with 9.3 and comply with the requirement of each of thefollowing clauses.
